   About the Position

Impact Statement
The Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) is an incorporated non-profit entering with a mission to celebrate and inspire community through the shared experience of film. Through both an annual festival and year-round events, GRFF hosts local, Canadian, and international films with a programming mandate to explore diverse and unique perspectives and an aim to inspire community engagement. GRFF recognizes the power of film to connect people and works in partnership with organizations across the region to deliver impactful programming that builds relationships and encourages meaningful conversation.

Description
Working closely with the Volunteer Committee Chair, you will have the opportunity to develop administrative skills, meet new people, be part of a fun team environment and contribute to an exciting community cultural event.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for working with our online volunteer portal via the Volunteer Waterloo Region, recruiting volunteers for year-round screenings and events and for next year's festival in May 2024. They will assist with volunteer orientation before events and act as an onsite volunteer coordinator during GRFF events.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training provided during on-boarding and throughout the year leading up to festival.
Working Conditions: Must be self-motivated, have well developed oral and written communication skills to provide direction to the team, be able to collaborate with others and have strong organizational skills.

Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Anytime
As required, leading up to events and the festival in May 2024.
