Position Rest Area Coordinator - 2020 Cherry Festival

g. To encourage civic participation by its members, while not backing any particular political party or candidate.
Description This event cannot happen without some wonderful volunteer. This position is responsible for the coordination of the Volunteer Rest Area. This area provides a lunch for all the Cherry Festival volunteers, as well as beverages and snacks. The Cherry Festival Committee will help with supplies and volunteers. The coordinator will need to attend Committee meetings once or twice a month leading up to the event in July.
Training Details The previous coordinator will gladly help with information on what has been done, but due to health concerns will not be able to help on the Festival day.
Working Conditions All the planning can be done from home. On Festival day will have seating and shade for resting.
Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekend - Daytime, Anytime
Time Detail Attending committee meetings once to twice a month on Monday nights; planning time at home; contacting volunteers who will be helping; making sure all supplies and equipment are ready; and being all day at the Festival on July 4th. Total about 50 hours.
