Belmont Village Bestival brings local artists to the Village to celebrate music and other artistic expressions in this beautiful gem within the City of Kitchener.
Description The Crew Captain is responsible for ensuring active volunteers are safe, connected, and received as required. The Crew Captain conducts frequent check-ins at all volunteer posts, confirming volunteers are present, answering any questions that have come up, ensuring replacement volunteers have arrived and are confident in role. A Crew Captain will stand -in as necessary for volunteers that need to be relieved for any reason or provide additional support to volunteers if required.

This might include extra support moving equipment on stage, escorting or directing musicians to restaurant or retail performance locations, staffing barricades or a bike check and more. This person must be responsible and be able to multi-task and prioritize. Clear verbal communication skills are necessary. Crew Captains act as liaison between volunteers and Volunteer Coordinator during festival hours.
Training Details Attend 2 hour volunteer orientation held week prior to Bestival. Festival organizing committee members will always be available as a resource during the day of the Bestival.
Working Conditions Outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift, carry, and stand. Must be able to walk for sustained periods of time, minimum four hours.
