Impact Statement Leadership Waterloo Region Volunteers are the keystone to our success. With volunteer support, we provide experiential leadership development opportunities, challenge people to view their community through a different lens, and foster connections with active and emerging leaders creating positive change.
Description The Annual Leadership Gala is the primary fundraising activity for Leadership Waterloo Region and it's one heck of a good time!

What do we need our volunteers to do? We need help with ticket sales, securing & picking up silent & live auction items, making connections to community partners, and sponsors that would enhance the Gala experience, and logistical support leading up to & on event day. We are also open to support in other ways if you'd like to put them to work for us!

All members must be available for day-of event support on-site, before, during and/or after the event as needed. This year, the Annual Leadership Gala will be held on Saturday, February 1st.

We also ask that our volunteers, get to know LWR, the event and how the Gala enables us to further the LWR's mandate, participate to the best of your ability, but more importantly to feel like you are contributing to something that's making a difference in your community.
Training Details We will provide an orientation package/meeting for all new volunteers so they can get to know us and so we can ensure our volunteers have the best experience, and feel like they're a part of our small but mighty team!
Working Conditions Most of your time will be spent out and about in Waterloo Region, whether it be by car, bus, train, bike or on foot!

We do ask that you attend a meet-up each month leading up to the event where you will be required to enjoy snacks, network with your fellow volunteers and provide updates on your activities.

Timing Weekday - Evening
Time Detail Meetings will be held on Tuesday afternoons (time TBD by availability of volunteers) other work to be done at own pace/schedule
