Impact Statement Volunteer to visit one-on-one with residents and be a positive friendly visitor at Parkwood Mennonite Home!

Description Activities may include reading, playing games, short walks, or even casual conversation over a cup of coffee at our cafe. The volunteer will enjoy a friendly atmosphere while providing an important service and making a real difference in our residents' lives. Volunteers should be friendly and outgoing with good communication skills, English proficiency, and the ability to work independently.
This position also works well with our Meal Assistant position so that you can spend some time visiting, provide conversation and help during a meal.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training on procedures and routine is provided. A staff supervisor will be available for orientation and ongoing contact. Working Conditions: Parkwood Mennonite Home is a wheelchair and scooter-accessible facility. If you require any accommodation to assist you, please let us know. Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime Time commitment is flexible and can accommodate the volunteer’s schedule.
