Impact Statement
MCC Ontario supports the Kitchener extension of The Raw Carrot Soup Enterprise which is a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities and barriers to traditional employment. We create handcrafted healthy gourmet soup that is sold in farmers markets and retail locations throughout Ontario.
The MCC Ontario Raw Carrot volunteers work side by side with the Raw Carrot employees to build community and support the production of the gourmet soups.

Description
To sell the Raw Carrot gourmet soups at the Wellesley Farmer's market.
•Assist with the set up and take down of table and displays
•Provide excellent customer service
•Promote sales of products and provide information about the program behind the products
•Handle both cash and card payments with diligence and care

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 16+

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: •Job shadowing and on-the-job training with a member of staff
•Skills development if needed
Working Conditions: Outdoors under a pavilion
Standing and selling the product
Light lifting - heavy lifting may be required
Dress for the weather
Must have access to a vehicle or transportation to and from market location
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space
Transportation: Car required

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less
Weekend - Daytime
At least 1-2 Saturdays per month
Approximately 4 hours per Saturday (8:30am -12:30pm)
Any Saturdays up until October 8, 2022
