Impact Statement
SPECTRUM is Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space. Our vision is of an inclusive community where all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals are welcomed, celebrated, and supported as their authentic selves.

SPECTRUM's peer support groups are great opportunities to meet other people, to talk about whatever you currently have on your mind, and to make new friends! These events are ideal for those that want to socialize in an 2SLGBTQ+ friendly setting.

SPECTRUM Prime (for ages 50+) meets from 7-9 pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month. We see things differently as we age. As maturing members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, we gather together to create a welcoming environment where we can reduce isolation and expand our network of friends. Please join us for a casual discussion and social group for maturing adults.

Description
As a co-host for SPECTRUM Prime, volunteers will require social and group facilitation skills and demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to the subject matter. Facilitators will be expected to welcome visitors, introduce them to others present, inform them of SPECTRUM resources if fitting, and facilitate and direct the conversations when necessary.
