Impact Statement Volunteers get an opportunity to make new friends and meet interesting people as well as having the satisfaction of making a positive difference in another person’s life. In addition, this will be an opportunity to develop new skills and abilities and give you a chance to belong to and feel part of a unique community.

Description These volunteers are on the frontlines as they engage with our guests through conversations and friendships. Additionally, the Hospitality Team will support staff during our mealtimes in the dining room, support while going to washroom and taking showers, laundry, and or general kitchen clean up.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: On site training and orientation is provided. Working Conditions: Mostly standing and walking indoors in a soup kitchen type setting, interacting with the people who are using our services. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening Volunteers are scheduled for just one shift weekly. Available shifts are: Mondays 6:30pm-9:00pm Wednesdays 6:30pm-9:00pm Thursdays 6:30pm-9:00pm Fridays 6:30pm-9:00pm Saturdays 11:00am-2:30pm
