Description
Volunteer Services Administrators (VSC) make sure that both Shelter Movers’ organizational needs and individual volunteers’ needs are met as part of a positive, sustainable relationship. This involves recruitment, training, and support of volunteers, administrative duties, program evaluation, and celebrating volunteer achievements.
Duties include:
-Posting volunteer opportunities online and responding to email inquiries.
-Conducting phone interviews with volunteer applicants and matching their skills to volunteer openings.
-Assisting with new volunteer orientations.
The ideal VSC will have:
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Tact, discretion, high maturity level and good judgement.
-Reliable work habits.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Ability to protect client and volunteer confidentiality.
-Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Training Details: Successful candidates will be trained on all aspects of the role and have access to ongoing training opportunities.
Working Conditions: This role can be done remotely. In light of the current situation, all training is done online. This role involves being part of a team. This is a Virtual Position

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Anytime
Approximately 4 hours a week. A minimum 3 month commitment is strongly preferred.
