It improves the service and lightens the burden, allowing the clinical staff more time for care of residents. A volunteer has the time and opportunity to create an atmosphere of friendliness and good will.

Description
We are looking for a volunteer who loves to grocery shop and find the best shopping deals! The volunteer will complete a weekly grocery shop for the Hospice on Mondays. Volunteer will support the Kitchen Coordinators in creating a weekly shopping list, check flyers for sales and price matching, complete the grocery shop (may have to visit multiple stores) and bring the groceries back to the hospice.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Orientation to the role is required and provided upon successful acceptance. Police Records check is mandatory.
Working Conditions: Must be able to drive, bending and lifting necessary.

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
We are currently looking for a volunteer to grocery shop on Mondays, alternating weekly with another volunteer. The intention is that the volunteers will cover each other's weeks when needed. Preferences is for groceries to arrive between 11:00am and 3:00pm (may be flexible).
