   About the Position

Impact Statement
Block Parents helps develop Active Transportation programs that encourage children to walk to school, play outside, and move around their neighbourhoods in a safe, healthy, and active way. Our programs are: Walking Schools Bus, Sidewalk Smarts, Drive to 5, and the Community Road Model program.

The objective of the Active Transportation Coordinator is to: Create an Active, Healthy and Safe Community by encouraging Active Transportation within the Region of Waterloo.

The ATC will support Active Transportation initiatives by attending meetings on behalf of Block Parents with Waterloo Region’s Active School Transportation Committee.

Age: 25+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: All Coordinators are also Directors with Block Parent. Required to participate in a three month orientation process including: Information Session, interview, and three board meetings.
Working Conditions: Virtual meetings

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Anytime
One Year commitment with an average up to 4 hours per month.
