Position: Older Adult Peer Mentor - Elder Mediation Service
Location: Varies upon clients
Impact Statement: CJI strives to build a safer, more connected community through supporting creative, peaceful solutions in situations of conflict or harm. Restorative Justice principles are at the heart of everything we do.
Description: This opportunity is to support older adults (55+) in the community who are in situations of conflict, loneliness, or isolation.
Training Details: Training is two full days from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at CJI. There is no cost for the training, but participants are required to attend the two consecutive Mondays.
Next training is: March 25th & April 1st, 2019. Light refreshments are provided. Interviews will determine successful candidates.
Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: Approximately 1 hour per week. Date/times are decided by mutual consent.
