Position: Board of Directors
Location: 151 Frederick Street, Kitchener, ON, Canada
Impact Statement: We are looking for board members who are passionate about literacy, able to devote the time necessary to meet strategic plan goals, goal oriented with strong commitment are essential to the achievement of our organization objectives.
Description: As a Board Member you will be responsible for:
- Directing the organization according to its by-laws, Letters Patent.
- Providing direction to the Executive Director.
- Formulating and approving board policy and strategic plans.
- Assisting with, participating on committees as needed.
- As a Finance professional, you will use your financial skills and experience to
provide support and advice to the Executive Director and Board Treasurer. You
will assist them with developing the budget and monitoring adherence to that
budget through the organization's financial statements.
Training Details: Orientation will be provided.
Duration: More than 1 year
Timing: Weekday - Evening
Time Detail: You will work from our Kitchener and/or Cambridge office.
Age: 18+
