   About the Position

Impact Statement
The Communications Coordinator will help fulfill the Block Parent Program's mission to Build Safer Communities, One Block at a Time by providing programs and services that build safe, connected, and engaged neighbourhoods that encourage children, and their communities, to embrace a more healthy and active lifestyle in the Region of Waterloo.

The Communications Coordinator will create materials that communicate the programs and services that Block Parents provides to the Region of Waterloo. Your role will assist us with making our brand more current and up to date. We have evolved over the past decade and people are not aware of what we do. Our website and public facing information requires a review and revision. If you have these qualities and like a new challenge. Please contact us!

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 21+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training and Orientation provided.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work individually and on a team and to attend monthly Board of Directors meetings to discuss current progress, challenges, and action plans.

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening, Anytime
Must to try attend 10 monthly Board of Directors meetings per year. The Board of Directors meet on the last Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm. (except July and December) Encouraged to devote 6-8 hours per month and encouraged to be able to commit to one full year of involvement.
