As a volunteer in our summer Board Games & Mingle Program, you will be helping to reduce social isolation and create a more warm and welcoming environment here in the Region of Waterloo. You can help make friends, build relationships, and get involved with the community in a way that really means something to the people who take part in the program.
The Program Starts up on July 2nd!

Description
Are you looking for something fun and meaningful to do over the summer?
Help us create a more welcoming and inclusive community for seniors, and anyone wants to reconnect to their community.
Join staff from VWR, older adults, and other community members at the Rockway Community Centre for a fun and interactive time. We will be meeting every Wednesday for a few hours to play board games, enjoy fun activities, and have meaningful conversations.
Community Involvement Hours, snacks and opportunities to meet new friends and mentors will be provided!
This opportunity is for everyone: seniors, youth and families! Children under the age of 12 should come with a parent/care provider.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: No Training required! Just register and come be yourself. Get ready to meet new friends, play some board games and have fun!
Working Conditions: Drop-in program at Rockway Centre! Indoor Community space.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Evening
Every Wednesday- Starting July 2nd to August 27th (3:00pm-5:00pm). It is a drop in session, come when you can, leave when you want.
