Impact Statement The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Description As a community engagement leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.
As the volunteer Community Outreach Lead, you will be responsible for:
• Creating a community and corporate outreach strategy, in collaboration with the Corporate Outreach Lead. • Connecting with your community (community groups, friends and family, local outreach booths) and invite them to get registered with the CIBC Run for the Cure. • Identifying local events happening in your community where you can represent CCS and promote the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Anytime Ongoing regular duties until the event on October 5, 2025 • This is a 6-month commitment (May through October). • Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly). • Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 4-6 hours per month with increased workload August & September). • Must be available over the event weekend (October 4 & October 5).
