Impact Statement The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Description As a logistics leadership volunteer, you will be part of our organizing committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.
As the volunteer, Volunteer Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for:
• Working alongside all committee leads determining volunteer requirements for event day. • Supporting Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to determine potential ways to recruit event day volunteers. • Supporting Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to actively promote the volunteer needs within your community. • Contacting all potential volunteers and scheduling them accordingly. • Managing volunteer check in for set-up and event day. • Overseeing all event day volunteers on event day.

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Anytime Ongoing regular duties until the event on October 5, 2025 • This is a 6-month commitment (May through October). • Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly). • Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 4-6 hours per month with increased workload August & September). • Must be available over the event weekend (October 4 & October 5).
