Impact Statement How Do I Become A Volunteer At CMH? Complete the application form, reference forms and email them to [email protected] or drop them off at the Hospital Information Desk or Switch Board on the weekends. Volunteer Services will contact you to schedule a virtual interview day and time. Successful applicants are required to complete a health review including a two-step TB test. Applicants will provide proof of two doses of COVID19 vaccination. Attend a 2-hour virtual orientation session

Description •Prepare patient information for staff •Greet patients, providing reassurance and support to patients as needed •Provide instruction to patient regarding gowns, lockers, change and waiting rooms. •Assist patients to complete forms, if asked •Assist patients to get to other areas of the hospital. - may use wheelchairs only after wheelchair training completed •Liaise between staff and patients •Assist Tech and Clerical staff as needed

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Two shadow shifts with an experienced Mammography Volunteer. Plus staff guidance. Working Conditions: •The physical demands of the role may include, but are not limited to, prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: NONE Needed

Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30–12:30 or 12:30–3:30
