Description This position entails accompanying our Community Response Unit Van (meal service vehicle) to a location downtown to serve a meal to those who are food compromised. It is a minimum of 1 Sunday per month, approximately 11:45 am - 1:15 pm. It entails making and serving coffee, hot chocolate and tea; serving a meal from inside the van. Interact with members of the community who could be living in less-than-ideal situations and circumstances.
You would be with a team of 3 - 4 other individuals. Approximately 80 - 100 meals are served each Sunday.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: There are some online training modules to be completed. The other members of the team will assist with training. Working Conditions: A variety of weather conditions from cold to hot. This position is rain, snow or shine. Most work is completed from inside the van with another individual. The van does have air conditioning and heat but it is still variable and while there is room to move around, space is limited.
Must be able to move in limited spaces, step up into the van and down again, twist from side to side, reach up and bend down. Transportation: On a bus route
