Kitchener Public Library volunteers enhance library services in our community and make a difference every day!
The Practice Your English Facilitator aims to create a welcoming environment for individuals to practice their spoken English. We are seeking English-speaking volunteers to lead this program, facilitate activities, and guide group discussions on Zoom. Volunteers will be responsible for preparing content for the 1.5-hour sessions.

Description
What you will do
•Create a positive, inclusive & welcoming virtual environment.
•Facilitate group conversations in a non-judgmental manner.
•Encourage participants to engage in conversations and provide support.
•Prepare group activities, discussion questions, and vocabulary for assigned weeks.
•Contribute to a positive team environment.
•Report program plans and communicate any issues.
What you bring
•Previous experience working with others, using strong communication & interpersonal skills
•Experience or interest in working with English language learners.
•High level of English language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening)
•Able to be flexible, patient & collaborative.
•Dependable and able to attend the weekly scheduled shifts
•Desire to contribute to the Kitchener community in a positive way.

Working Conditions: Virtual via Zoom, The program runs every Friday, from 10am - 11:30am on Zoom.
