Impact Statement At Community Justice Initiatives, we are deeply committed to enhancing our community's ability to prevent and address harm restoratively. We accomplish this by empowering and training community volunteers to serve as Restorative Justice Practitioners. Our approach prioritizes the guidance of skilled practitioners who assist program participants in recognizing their unique needs and determining their path toward healing and reparation. Through this collaborative process, individuals are empowered to take ownership of their journey toward restoration, thereby increasing their capacity to contribute to broader healing within the community.

Description Peer Mentor Program: Co-Mentors provide support for older adults experiencing loneliness, isolation and conflict in their lives. EMS connects older adults and a co-mentor with whom they can share their experiences and concerns. In turn, this relationship works to empower older adults to feel safe and supported. Co-Mentors provide encouragement to develop positive conflict resolution skills and build healthy, positive relationships with others.
As we work holistically with participants, we seek to understand who you are, how you would like to grow and how you feel you can support some or all these service areas, and/or grow in preparedness to engage in this work.
