   About the Position

Impact Statement
we are a faith-based organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening women leaving a trafficking situation. SEEDS provides innovative and transformative services through a residential program with a team of caring and dedicated staff and volunteers in a 4 bed home, operating from 5 Core Values:

Supporting Every Eve's Daughter Safely is about making sure that the victims of human trafficing are kept safe in a space where they can recover and eventually thrive. Volunteers are there to support these victims in their journey.

Description
This postion will involve working in our home.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with the House Manager, the volunteer House Advocate is responsible for providing support to survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in our residential program.

Primary duties and responsibilities
• Mediate mild interpersonal problems between residents.
• Communicate with House Manager to work with individual residents.
• Ensure that residents are accounted for and are safe and secure.
• Ensure safety.
• Provide emergency first aid and minor medical assistance when necessary.
• Attend meetings and trainings requested by the House Coordinator.
• Assist in the management of resident documentation and reporting.
• Some case management.
• Must have G license and access to a vehicle at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: House Manager will provide all the necessary training.
Working Conditions: We ask our volunteers to work in our home and support the girls as they live. From cooking, cleaning, playing games, watching movies, assisting with shopping etc.
Transportation: Car required


Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening
Anytime during the week or weekend for 2-3 hours at a time
