Description Do you live in Cambridge?
Volunteer Waterloo Region is offering a youth-led program called 'Invitation to Belonging'. This in-person experience is designed for Newcomer youth and families in Waterloo Region to join cultures and families through community involvement. All you have to do is bring your life experience and we will help to create a safe space to talk about your journey as a newcomer youth who is adapting to a new community and country.
During this program, we will focus on learning new skills, celebrating cultures, interacting with diverse Newcomer mentors/professionals, and finding out how different cultures can work together to create a more welcoming environment in Canada. Participants will also explore diverse life skills needed to adapt to the challenges Newcomers may face in Canada.
Volunteer hours, snacks and multiple community resources will be provided in each session.
