Description
Join us for a joyous Emancipation Day celebration that honors our rich history and legacy. This family-friendly event promises a day filled with entertainment, culture, and fun for all ages. To make this event a success, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with various tasks throughout the day.


Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
As a volunteer, your role will involve arriving 30 minutes early to set up our event space with tents, tables, and chairs to ensure everything is ready for a day filled with culture and fun. Throughout the event, you'll warmly welcome guests, provide helpful information about activities and facilities, and assist vendors and performers with their needs. Engage with families by overseeing activities and games, ensuring everyone has a great time in a safe environment. After the event ends (5:00pm), we kindly ask volunteers to stay 15-30 minutes to assist with cleanup and other closing tasks to ensure the venue is left clean.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: We will run training sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles and ensure they feel confident and ready to contribute to the success of the celebration. Additionally, on-site training will be provided on the day of the event to go over any final details and answer any questions.
Working Conditions: Volunteers will work outdoors in the park environment, which may involve standing for extended periods. Please dress comfortably/ weather appropriate and consider bringing sunscreen and a hat to stay protected from the sun throughout the day.
