Description We are seeking friendly, reliable adults (age 18+) with good communication skills to provide yard maintenance for older adults or adults with a disability. Equipment is supplied.
We match volunteers with one or more clients who live in the City of Waterloo and try to match in the same neighbourhood area.
Responsibilities include: -performing yard maintenance, including cutting grass with a lawn mower, using a trimmer and cleaning up leaves -lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, raking and walking on slippery surfaces - making sure safe practices are followed, including safe lifting and dressing for the weather -commitment for one season (May to October)
