   About the Position

Impact Statement
This is a hands on opportunity to contribute to relief and development work around the world through supporting the system of Relief Aid donations from when they enter the warehouse through to their shipment to places of need.

MCC is a charitable organization that partners with churches and community organizations worldwide to walk with people who are disadvantaged. MCC supports activities that provide emergency assistance, reduce poverty, and promote healthy communities, sustainable living and alternatives to violence. As an internationally recognized NGO, MCC currently serves in 45 countries.

Description
- Cut fabric into squares
- Sew squares together
- Cut backing and layer under batting
- knot comforters
- bind edges of comforters
- Some knowledge of sewing Or willing to learn the skills


Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual, A Group, Student Placement
Age: 14+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Position specific orientation will be provided.
Job specific training and skills development.
Job shadowing and training meetings offered as available.
Policy and procedure manual available at all times.
Volunteer liability coverage for all volunteers.
Working Conditions: Work is conducted in a clean safe warehouse like setting with staff and volunteers. Using fine motor skills for knotting is essential.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Accessible work space
Transportation: Not on a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening
•Expected number of hours per week or month varies depending on availability
•Length of commitment required varies – can be a one-time volunteer or ongoing
