   About the Position

Impact Statement
The Royal Medieval Faire is a magical day where the medieval period comes alive in the 21st century. The day is full of games, medieval vendors and performers, including dramatic productions, musicians and swordplay. Every year, the Faire relies on dedicated volunteers to bring the festival alive and attract thousands of patrons for the annual event.

Description
-Liaison with City and parks.
-Ensure items are returned post-faire.
-Create map on the location of needs (power box, picnic tables, bleachers)
-Coordinate Storage POD delivery and pick-up.
-Secure truck & trailer rental, security, first aid services, portable toilets, table & chair rentals, straw rental, archery supplies and coordinate delivery and pick-up.
-Mark the Park for Tournament Ring and Vendor Spots.
-Communicate with Coordinators throughout on needs and get the things they need for Faire set-up. Games, Gating, Signage, Vendors & Volunteers are currently the Coordinators that are communicated with.
-Purchase operational supplies as needed.
-Creating documents for tent use, table & chair rentals, straw distribution.
-Printing Programs, Maps, Waiver Forms, Job Descriptions, etc. as needed.
-Purchasing water for the event.
-Lead set-up and tear-down of the Faire the day of the event

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation, training and support provided by a friendly board member.
Working Conditions: Work on computer and email independently. Occasional meetings. Full day on-site in the park day expected. On the day of the event, physical labor required with heavy lifting and using tools.

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months

Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime
Commitment:
A few hours per month between April and end of September with more hours concentrated around August-September.
Commitment required to manage performers the day of the event on September 16, 2023 from 8am to 8pm (includes set up and take down of festival)
Attend board meetings as arranged. Time required throughout the year for the above responsibilities is flexible and within the control of the Performers Coordinator.
