The Digital Literacy Assistants support staff with technology programs for families and teens. As a volunteer, you’ll help participants navigate new concepts in science and coding (not necessarily math) using Apple computers.
We are looking for someone interested in learning and making things. Those with a background in arts and crafts, circuits, or coding are encouraged to apply.

Description What You'll Do - Be patient, helpful, and encouraging with all participants - Assist participants who have trouble navigating the computer - - Communicate and explain concepts using plain language - Work independently to respond to questions - Provide one-on-one support to those who need help extra help

Ideal for: An Individual Age: 16+
COVID-19 Vaccination Required: Yes

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Staff will review materials/content before programs start so that you feel comfortable with concepts before diving in. Working Conditions: Library space Accessibility: Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime Tuesday evenings or every other Saturday; minimum commitment of 3 months
