Impact Statement Volunteers walk alongside those in our community who need food, housing, community resources or addiction treatment. Volunteers are vital in ensuring that everyone can belong and thrive.

|
Description This position involves interacting with the public in a friendly manner, while assisting the Community Development Worker (CDW) in leading and implementing food programs and other administrative and organization duties.
You will be preparing and handing out school snacks to community members in need of support. You will also be assisting with set-up and clean-up.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training provided on-site Working Conditions: Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs and stand for 3-4 hours at a time; working inside and outside Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime Tuesday afternoons from 1:30-4:00pm
