Volunteers are an important part of developing the Cambridge community. The City of Cambridge supports, facilitates and values the efforts of all our volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities in the City of Cambridge, including one-time, two-hour commitments and weekly commitments on a year-round basis.

Description
The Friendly Visiting Program is recruiting volunteers to have in-person and/or phone visits with our isolated clients.
Regular/weekly scheduled visits with a client for a minimum of eight months. For those clients waiting for a match, you may be assigned a client to call once per week. Visits are set up at a mutually convenient time for the client and the volunteer.
Qualifications: Good listening skills, caring and friendly, patience, reliable and responsible, compassionate, empathetic, the ability to accept people as they are, sense of humor, the ability to focus on the client’s needs and must be 18 years of age or older.
