Our goal is to provide a flexible and self-driven atmosphere where you’re free to explore your interests, gain new skills, and ultimately contribute to what we see as being a pretty cool initiative! Ideally, you’ll have some interest in gardening, food literacy, and sustainability.

Description
We want to help youth learn more about opportunities for working in food systems by talking with people who work in a wide variety of food industry careers. Interviewers will be paired with a staff mentor from WRSFG to chat with people working in the food and agricultural sectors; restaurant staff, farmers, machine operators, food scientists, urban agriculture coordinators are all potential interviewees, among many, many others.
No prior experience is required! You must currently be a high school student, or entering high school in September 2022 (aged 13-19), have strong communication and the ability to work well with others, and access to a computer (desktop or laptop) and Internet.
The time requirement will vary for this role, as there will be 8 episodes, each episode will ideally have different interviewers.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: We will do practice interviews with you to go over some skills and prepare you!
Working Conditions: This volunteer position is entirely remote, and we welcome volunteers from any location! Interviews will take place over Zoom. We will give you a set of questions to help guide you, but we’re also open to working with you to develop interview questions about topics that are interesting to you.
We have a long list of potential interviewees and all we need now are our interviewers to get started!

We will work around your schedule for the practice skills, and the Interview will be set up with you and the professional you're interviewing (and their schedule.)
