   About the Position

Impact Statement
Volunteers are a valuable resource, contributing unique talents, skills, and knowledge to the many facets of the operations at The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery. Volunteers assist with many aspects of the Gallery, playing an integral role in our operations.

The Gallery offers a pleasant and enriching environment; sharing, learning, and contributing to the community; developing new skills; flexible hours and a discount on purchases in the Gallery Shop.

Description
* Assist with building, planting & maintenance of outdoor community gardens

Age: 18+
COVID-19 Vaccination Required: Yes

Skill(s): Interpersonal Communication, Verbal Communication, Accountability, Self-Motivation, Flexibility


Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training & supervision will be provided
Working Conditions: Outdoors, some lifting.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
Wednesdays starting in June -- an orientation date will happen in late May. Time is flexible, but coming in on Wednesdays would be consistent.

Workshops related to the community garden will also happen on weekends on occasion -- which volunteers are welcome to volunteer at, but it is not mandatory.
