Description
Are you looking for a way to engage in the community through ART?
Arts and Crafts Volunteers provide participants the opportunity to create an arts and crafts project during their group time. Volunteers supervise and facilitate the creation of a variety of projects and provide guests with a positive experience.

Position Qualifications
Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 12+
|
|
|
Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: • Participant engagement, education skills.
• Willingness and interest in working with the community, especially families, youth, and children
• Ability to work well with others, accept supervision, and remain flexible
• At least 14 years of age. People under 18 must provide parental consent.
Working Conditions: • Assist group members in the creation of arts and crafts projects
• Brainstorm and suggest new ideas for engaging projects/ activities
• Provide necessary set-up and list of materials, and notify supervisors when materials need to be changed or modified
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime
Expected Commitment
• Volunteer opportunities available throughout 10 sessions and afterwards
• Preferably at least once a week for 1-3 hours, (between the hours of 5 pm-6:30 pm)
although concessions can be made for taking turns alternate week
