Description We are welcoming women of diverse backgrounds to participate in a valuable customer service learning opportunity with the YW. Our boutique provides a training program in customer service while maintaining an actual business. YOU will become familiar with shop products both in store and online and: learn SKU, store inventory and point of sale system. process cash and debit/credit card transactions. assist customers in the stores while shopping. package online orders for shipping. Merchandise store products on racks and shelves. Cleaning/dusting the store when needed. Explain In Her Shoes program and YW Thrift Boutique mission and where the raised money goes. Complete online customer service training. Greet donors and help take in donations. Sort and process donations. Additional tasks as needed.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Newcomer women and gender diverse women who are pre-citizen in Canada are invited to take part in this 8 week volunteer program. Working Conditions: In-house training and job shadowing will be provided at no cost to volunteer. No prior experience is required. Online and in person customer service training will be provided as well as volunteers will have the opportunity to earn customer service certificates via Canity after successful completion of the training. Resume and cover letter appreciated. Accessibility: Support volunteers with special needs, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Weekday - Daytime Hours are flexible between Monday to Friday 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM either online or in person
