Volunteers are central to the achievement of our objectives to connect Arab women with community resources, education, and tools relevant to their lives and interests. CAWA is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to start immediately. This is a voluntary position, for about 5 hours a week. The Volunteer Coordinator would be a self-motivated individual, who can work with a flexible schedule and minimal supervision. Ideally somebody who has experience as a leader or program coordinator or similar positions.

Roles include: Developing a volunteer management system for CAWA to use now, and in the future; Gathering information about each volunteer's skills, availability, and goals; matches volunteers with appropriate opportunities based on this data.
Regularly communicating with volunteers to ensure placement is a good fit for individuals skills and goal; Updating and maintaining files, records, applications, and other volunteer-related data; Drafting and maintaining guidelines, best practices, and procedures for the volunteer program; Coordinating volunteer recognition and appreciation events and activities.

Training Details: Training will be provided
Working Conditions: Excellent verbal and written communication English language skills; Arabic is an asset.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership skills; an ability to motivate and encourage others. Proficient in Google Docs Editor Suite, or related software.
Transportation: NONE Needed

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime
