Description
To assist The Food Bank Operations Team with delivery or pickups of food drive, event supplies, agency orders, or corporate donations. Volunteer drivers assistants will work with a volunteer driver to complete food pick-ups from local grocery stores, businesses or organizations who are participating in food drives.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Interested volunteers will have to complete an interview process, with a reference check. Upon successful completion, volunteers will be trained in the role by The Food Bank staff.
Working Conditions: -Regular and repetitive lifting (up to 50 pounds)
-Extended reaching and bending (up to 50 pounds)
-Climbing in and out of a large vehicle, into the back of the truck, to load or unload
-Temperatures (outdoors in winter and summer). There is extended periods outside, so dressing/preparing for various weather is important.

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime
Shifts are available weekday mornings or the afternoons. Preference for Tuesday/Thursday availability but accepting all availabilities. 6+ Month commitment is appreciated.
