   About the Position

Impact Statement
Volunteers walk alongside those in our community who need food, housing, community resources or addiction treatment. Volunteers are vital in ensuring that everyone can belong and thrive.

Description
Students within the community are looking for a Volunteer tutor to help them with their Grades 1-8 homework, especially reading. Volunteers are required to have excellent communication skills and will be engaging when working one on one with students. The program runs weekly (in-person) from the end of September throughout the remainder of the school year.

Age: 18+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training will be provided.
Working Conditions:
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 7 - 12 months
Weekday - Daytime
Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30pm
