Transportation Volunteer

   About the Position

Volunteers are vital to successfully transporting clients to and from medical appointments. Transportation volunteers also help client to attend our day program on Tuesdays in Kitchener and Thursdays in Cambridge. These volunteers can choose to either drop off or pick up our clients. Volunteers will improve their communication skills and offer a valued service to clients who can no longer drive but wish to have a day out of their home.

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 20+

COVID-19 Vaccination Required: Yes

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Volunteers are required to complete a 35-hour training course. The next course is being offered Spring 2022.
Working Conditions: Volunteers drive their own car and take clients to and from medical appointments or hospice services.

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Daytime
Hours of driving can vary week to week. No more than 2-4hours/week.
