The Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington is dedicated to providing help for people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia and their caregivers in our community. Our dedicated board, staff and volunteers work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

We provide programs and services for clients diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and related dementias. We are looking for volunteers to assist our office staff. The volunteer will cover our reception desk greeting our clients and community members, answering phones and support ASWW with general administrative tasks.

This role would be well suited for someone who is building their administrative skills, or someone recently retired and has a flexible schedule. Our new administrative volunteer will be the first point of contact for our clients, their care givers, and community members in our Kitchener location on Fredrick Street.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: •Mandatory general orientation for all new volunteer placements
•Specific training and resources for office procedures
•Ongoing training and support through regular contact with the Volunteer Coordinator


Working Conditions: In person role at Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington Kitchener office. Flexible schedule and demonstrated ability to work independently are important for this role. Must be willing to show proof of COVID-19 double vaccination status.

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime
