With ever-changing exhibitions and programming, THEMUSEUM presents a stimulating opportunity for a volunteer placement.

THEMUSEUM is looking for energetic, bright and artistic volunteers to join our team! As a volunteer in our Screen-Printing Studio, you will get to assist in The Underground Studio MakerSpace with our screen-printing studio during The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED Exhibition.

Primary duties & responsibilities include:

• Work alongside Interpreters (THEMUSEUM floor-staff), and The Underground Studio MakerSpace Manager in The Underground Studio MakerSpace.
• Cleaning tools and equipment and maintaining an orderly studio space.
• Prepping and mixing ink for printing.
• Attend all orientation and training sessions.
• Work as a team member with staff and volunteers.

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual, Student Placement
Age: 14+
COVID-19 Vactionation Required: Yes

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Wednesday November 17, 6pm – 9pm, Saturday November 20, 10am – 1pm, Sunday November 21, 2pm – 5pm. Tour the exhibition on November 29 from 10am – 2pm.

Training dates are subject to change due to install of exhibition.

If beginning to volunteer after The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED, a separate date will be arranged with you for orientation & training.
Working Conditions: •Time spent active listening
•All sites will be playing music related to the subject matter & there may be some louder music experiences throughout the exhibition
•Must be comfortable standing for periods of time
•Must be able to lift a minimum of 10lbs

Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Start Date:2021-11-29
End Date:2022-03-20
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
4 hours per week, weekdays or weekends, available for the duration of the Exhibition (November 30, 2021 – February 27, 2022). Hours for the studio are Wednesday evenings 4pm-8pm, Friday-Sunday 10am-3pm.
