   About the Position

Impact Statement
Dedicated volunteers are at the core of JA’s impact on Canadian youth.

JA has pivoted our format from the traditional delivery style during the pandemic to still be able to deliver our programs to youth in Waterloo Region and surrounding area.

JA volunteers are generous, talented and inspiring. They come from a variety of business areas and share one common goal:
educating students and inspiring them to achieve their highest potential.

Description
You will have 30 minutes to connect virtually with a group of students and share your career experiences and educational path. Sessions will also include a Q & A section where students can ask you questions related to the JA program content - focused on financial literacy, work readiness and personal experiences that you’ve had with these topics.

- Our Business World (grade 5)
- A Business of Our Own (grade 6)
- Dollars with Sense (grade 7)
- Economics for Success (grade 8)
- Personal Finance (grade 9 - 12)

Ideal for: An Individual, A Group
Age: 18+


Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Junior Achievement will provide each volunteer with the training tools needed for the virtual drop in Q&A format. In addition, volunteers will be provided with all materials to have the knowledge of their chosen program.
Working Conditions: Virtual platforms
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space


Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime
All Virtual Q&A Drop In sessions will happen during school hours (8:30 - 3:30) each session is a 30-45 minute commitment.
