   About the Position

SPCA is a great place to play! Neighbours can contribute to the programming and services being offered at this vibrant community centre. (COVID restrictions in place)

We’re currently looking for an Outdoor Market Coordinator to recruit and support vendors. This role helps with maintaining an appropriate balance of food to artisan products ensuring vendors follow market policies

Assist to design a vendor layout ensuring COVID 19 procedures are followed
Order product weekly, organizing pick up/delivery
Coordinate and provide direction to market volunteers
Conduct outreach to attract customers
Work with the Publicity Lead to build profiles and build awareness of market and vendors

Time Commitment
Long term commitment - 6 months + is ideal (summer months with possible extension)
Outdoor Market - Thursdays 5-7 pm, with additional time for set up and take down (4-8pm)
5 hours per week to order and organize product
Attend meetings as needed

Outdoor Market takes place at the Stanley Park Community Centre, located at 505 Franklin Street North in Kitchener.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training and Professional Development:
Basic Health and Safety, AODA and evacuation training provided
Facility Tour and overview of programs and events
Training in specific software used by the Association
Opportunities to attend workshops, meetings, and other training sessions pertaining to the position
Training and orientation will be provided by the Volunteer Management Consultant or outgoing publicity chair (if possible) within 8 weeks of acceptance of the position

Duration: 3 months or less

Time Commitment:
Attend monthly board meetings (Third Tuesday of the month from 7-9 pm)
Attend program meetings (6 per year)
10 hours a month to prepare media advertising, flyers, and other forms of publicity as requested
