   About the Position

Impact Statement
The bereaved helping the bereaved so that no one has to walk alone through their journey of grief.

Our Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) is a volunteer committee of professionals with experience in the areas of grief and bereavement. PAC’s primary role is to ensure all programs operate within the BFO-MR mission, mandate and values. PAC members represent fields such as health care, social work, spirituality, funeral services and education.

We're committed to having PAC represent our community. We welcome and encourage the broad range of experiences, skills and knowledge that applicants with diverse abilities, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ethnicity bring.

- Monitor, assess & evaluate existing programming to ensure the needs of the bereaved are met
- Identify programming and resource gaps
- Advise on the creation of new programming
- Screen, evaluate & support appropriate research in the field of grief and bereavement
- Advise on professional development opportunities

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 18+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation training with PAC and staff will be provided.
Working Conditions: Meetings are currently held virtually.

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening
PAC meets on a quarterly basis. Additional committee/project work is required between meetings.
