The Marketplace is the Ray of Hope food bank program in which we provide relief assistance of food and hygiene supplies in a respectful manner, and encourage people to make healthy, nutritious food choices.

As a Marketplace Server, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to assist our community here at Ray of Hope. From guiding our guests accessing our Marketplace food hamper program, to connecting with them one on one, your support will make a real difference to the lives of others. Other tasks include restocking shelves, and general cleanup of the work area to be done as required. Join us in creating a warm and welcoming environment for all individuals who seek our assistance.

Volunteers are scheduled for one shift per week only and must be able to commit to a 13-week minimum commitment.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Onsite orientation to position and organization provided.
Working Conditions: This position requires standing, walking or bending for the entire three hour shift. Possible exposure to a variety of odours. Will sometimes be in contact with people that have difficulty speaking English.
Transportation: On a bus route
