   About the Position

Impact Statement
Our Mission Thrift Stores are largely staffed by volunteers who join in the goal of helping people in need locally and world-wide.

Donations are given from many sources which enter our store through our donation entrance. These items will be sorted, inspected and then turned into financial support for children and families in Canada and around the world.

The intake/presorting assistant will welcome the people who donate items, assist them if necessary in unloading their vehicles and pre-sort the donations into bins for the processing department.

Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual, A Group, Student Placement
Age: 14+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: The department co-ordinator will train each volunteer and work alongside of them for several shifts.
Working Conditions: Some heavy lifting may be required.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers

Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
