Impact Statement Hospice of Waterloo Region is a charitable organization whose specially trained volunteers help people affected by life-threatening illness, prepare for, and cope with death by providing compassionate presence, practical support and education.

Description The Reflexology Client Support Volunteer will provide emotional and practical support by providing treatments to consenting clients and caregivers. The benefits of Reflexology treatment are in relaxation, enhanced circulation and assists the body to normalize metabolism naturally. Reflexology may be provided as part of a weekly volunteer visit or arranged by appointment through the Hospice office.
Experienced Reflexology practitioners will provide proof of training and certification (100hr course).

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: All trainees must attend a 35-hours of volunteer training course. If you have daytime availability to attend training and for daytime volunteering, applications for this training are being accepted now. Working Conditions: On-site at Hospice of Waterloo Region, in client’s place of residence, or by request at regional hospitals or residential hospices. Accessibility: Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: Car required

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening Ideally - reflexology volunteers should be available 2 hours per week for service.
