Description Volunteers will assist us in our Inclusion Supports program by helping an adult with a developmental disability to engage more with his or her community. This will involve meeting once or twice a week at a library or community event, or for recreation activities, shopping or going out for coffee. Volunteers will help foster community connections and independence, provide friendship and have fun!

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Volunteers will receive training and orientation, as well as meet the person beforehand. All students and volunteers are required to attend an interview, and 2 references as well as a volunteer police check. Working Conditions: Various sites throughout Kitchener/Waterloo. May require outdoor and/or recreational clothing. Accessibility: Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening Once/week - time to be arranged between volunteer and person they will be volunteering with.
