Impact Statement TLG needs your help! 34% of people living in our community struggle with reading information, filling out forms and numeracy. Many live in poverty, trying to support families on minimum wages & with a highly technical world. Volunteer as a 1-1 tutor, office support, fundraising & special events. Help us make a difference by helping people move from Poverty to Possibilities!

Description • Attend monthly meetings and others as required, e.g. subcommittee meetings • Assist in developing and implementing the yearly funding plan • Assist with the planning and management of fundraising events • Contribute to decision making in all areas of committee activities • Take on and fulfill tasks related to completion of the activities and reaching committee goals. (E.g. Soliciting event sponsors, securing in-kind donations, collecting donations for raffles etc.) • Report to committee on assigned tasks in a timely manner • Serve on sub-committees for specific projects and events • Assist with recognition activities • Assist with all other general fundraising activities as needed Assisting with the planning and organization of events - Promoting fundraising events to community - Assisting with getting resources for events - Brainstorming, being creative and offering new fundraising ideas

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Orientation will be provided by the Executive Director and the Chair of the Fundraising Committee
Working Conditions: Monthly meetings Active participation in indoor or outdoor fundraising events Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs
