   About the Position

Impact Statement
Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver meals to individuals, who for various reasons, are unable prepare their own meals. Clients have the choice of hot meals, frozen meals or a combination that can be chosen for a wide variety of specialized or therapeutic diets.

By giving 60 - 90 minutes of your time, you will ensure that seniors and adults with disabilities have access to daily essential nutrition needs. You will also help them to feel more secure in their homes, due to a friendly volunteer checking in on them.

Description
How Adopt-A-Route works:
-Your group provides one or two volunteers once per week to deliver meals.
-You select a specific day of the week (i.e. Monday) and we schedule your employee(s)on that specific day each week.
- Volunteers meet at one of our 5 depot locations between 10:50 am and 11:00 am to pick up the meals, employees are assigned a route, which typically consists of 7-13 client homes.
- Meal delivery typically takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
- At the end of the meal route, employees return their meal bags and route kits to Breslau location.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation; Training is required; Training on the job; Training on-going
Working Conditions: Meals are picked up from our Breslau Office (61 Woolwich Street North)
-Covid protocols in place, your staff would need to be screened the morning of their shift and would be required to wear a mask, stay physically distanced and use hand sanitizer between each client.
