Description Volunteers are needed for friendly 1:1 visits and to support organized recreation and creative progrmaming.
You can assist in bringing residents to the Great Hall for social hour, to the chapel for musical concerts and assist with happy hour.
Volunteers should possess a good level of patience, compassion, ability to engage in conversation, clear communication. Ability to play a musical instrument or sing is considered an asset.
Gentle Persuasive Approach and experience with diffusing aggressive behavior is also an asset.

Training Details: Dementia, Health and Safety, WHMIS Training available. Working Conditions: Within the facility with staff support. Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening Monday-Friday between 9:00am-4:00pm
